We are super excited to share with you all about our amazing partnership with Valencia Couture, where we’ll be giving away stunning prom dresses to young ladies who might not be able to afford them. We know how special and important this day is, and we truly want you to feel extra special. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteer as a member of a team that helps Houstonians learn about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. Our Educational Food Fairs are open to anyone in Houston and provide participants with a mini-workshop about healthy living as well as fresh produce.
During this event, your help is needed to repackage produce and assist with loading food into client’s vehicles!

Girls Can Code FREE Event
Join us for a free event designed for young girls to learn how to code on Saturday, October 28th from 12-4 pm! Come and enjoy a mommy and me event while the next generation learns to code in a fun and productive way!
We are honored to have Samina Farid as our keynote speaker. Samina co-founded and was the CEO of Merrick Systems. She is a leader in Houston’s tech and VC ecosystem, co-leads the Houston Chapter of Golden Seeds, funding and supporting women-led companies, and OPEN Houston, an organization that connects Houston’s entrepreneurs, investors, and leaders.
We are also thrilled to have published author April M. Salazar, who will be interviewed to share her journey as an author, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and most importantly, motherhood! April will also be reading her children’s books!
We will have complimentary snacks and drinks!

Kids Meals Member Volunteer Day
It takes hundreds of volunteers to prepare and pack thousands of meals each week. The HBW volunteer shift at Kids’ Meals is on Thursday, September 1st, from 9am-12 pm (3 Hours)
Our goal is to make things as smooth as possible for you. We recommend volunteers wear a blush pink shirt, closed toed-shoes, and a hat. In case someone prefers not to wear a hat, we distribute hair nets as an option.
Limited parking, carpool if possible. Please arrive at their offices by 9:00 AM. Upon arrival, you will enter their Welcome Center, sign-in on their computers, and they will have a brief orientation. Once we’re ready to get to work, they will supply everyone with the needed items for your task. Come ready to have a goodtime! At Kids’ Meals, we think volunteering should be fun. We work hard, but we play hard too!
